They are from Pennsylvania if I remember right. We were proud to have their bumpersticker on our pick up. There are lots of blue collar country Dems and it is good to let folks know they don't have to be Repuke if they are country people.
Look them up I'm sure they'd love to send you a bumpersticker for a small donation.

( They spawned a knock off that I saw 6 months ago " Crackers for Cain" I kid you not there was a picture of a Saltine on it!

Great guys, really. The love their redneck ways but are the first to stop to pull a car out of a ditch in a snowstorm or help a neighbor in need.

Stereotypes are the enemy of the 99%.

I've got it posted in Southern Democrats and Progressives:

Jeana Brown Throws Down on Scott Walker

A woman from Georgia has gone up to Wisconsin to support the unions there.

"Wisconsin lit a fire that I saw clear down in the swamplands of Georgia"

She's taking back the language to be progressive! She's also involved with OWS. I love this woman!

I've been informed by southern socialists that before the right took over the label of 'redneck,' the term referred to their practice of wearing a red bandanna around the neck to identify themselves.

The GOP stole it to fake solidarity with working people, although most probably wouldn't believe that. Anymore than they'd believe the POA was written by an atheist or the Dewey decimal system was created by a socialist.

That was before Americans turned 'yellow' and began running like chickens with their heads cut off in this country from socialism and communism and their brains got stuck in stupid at those words.

Whatever its origin, we should reclaim the word 'redneck' and all the rest, and the south itself, from the GOP spin machine. They are the party of royalty and privilege, not working people.

Not all 'rednecks' are dumb, and this proves it.

West Virginia was one of the early states where the miners donned the scarves to signal they were members of the union. They wanted to distinguish themselves from non-union coal miners. They wore the bandannas proudly.

How exceptionally ironic it is that the GOP union busters have purloined the concept to, as you put it, "fake solidarity with working people."
