(5,756 posts)Sadly, I'd be somewhat hesitant to put an Obama bumper sticker on my car in TN for fear of vandalism. That's a real shame isn't it?

(4,309 posts)I live/work in a very blue area of a very blue state (MD) so that isn't too much of an issue here. Even if people can't stand it they at least tolerate it. I'm already seeing a lot of pro-Obama stickers, signs, shirts, etc. around here just like in '08.

(11,304 posts)I originally from MD and people are alot more open minded. I wouldn't be afraid to put a sticker for any person running wheter a republican or a democrat. People don't go crazy like that everywhere.

(4,309 posts)and I assume it is because of my stickers, not my driving. I just smile and wave.
But I imagine things could get more confrontational in TN than Baltimore, MD.

(10,618 posts)My husband met a guy from the U.S. yesterday (at a Festival he does each year, we are Canadian) and talk led to US politics and the American was a strong Obama supporter. So is hubby in whatever ways we can be that from here.
Just thought I'd share that little speck of solidarity, every little bit helps.
Every little bit does help!

(68,867 posts)I'm relatively friendly, and I smiled at her, and she told me that I had gorgeous eyes....which was a very nice compliment, considering I had on no make-up, and I'm passed the mid-century!
I thanked her, and we got to talking about the post office, then about her outfit, and her grand children (the line was long)..... She writes children's books, she said.... I asked her if was on the Internet, and she said, of course! She gave me her card. I told her that I had gotten my 73 year old Mom on the Internet, and now, she was everywhere! LOL!
I told her that I write on the Internet...mainly political stuff. I told her that I could send her some of my stories, but that she should be warned that I'm an avid President Obama supporter. She said she just loves Barack Obama, and that yes, she'd be eager to read my articles!
She was so cute!
