I know this is a hard time of year for some. For just one brief moment, take a deep breath and think of a moment of beauty, a time that you were truly happy and hold that to your heart.

Bog~ What can I say, I love you all. We have stood up, we have held each other up and we have hugged each other, then we have gone out to fight another day. I gotta say we are awesome! As is our President. Brava and Bravo to you all!

13. I was twenty years old in 1960...

...when this song was released. VanillaRhapsody, you just made 54 years fall off this old man. Just for the briefest moment, I felt young again, my pulse quickened and a wave of bittersweet nostalgia overcame me; sweet in the memories of youth; bitter in the loss of so many loved ones. Charles Brown had been staying with Amos Milburn for a while before he recorded this song. Milburn was a fine pianist himself and Brown credited him with being a major influence. The Eagles released a top-notch cover and brought the old song back to popular awareness. Some folks claim that it isn't Christmas until they hear those bells ring at the introduction.
