This to me is the best picture of Obama ever.

His determination and fire while talking in the rain was close. But this was it for me. He is absolutely focused, intent, staying on course, making it work.

It shows a high level of intelligence, synthesizing all the data, looking for solutions. And complete awareness. An irresistable combination.

I was going to bust if I didn't share this picture here. Hope my fellow BOGsters enjoy the sight of the 44th President doing his job.

I was just(trying?) to be silly, and make the comparison between the two. One is a moronic ass that tried to be a president, and failed miserably, and the other is President Obama. A man that thinks things through. Using brains and intelligence to come to decisions instead of knee-jerk reactions and a yea-haw, guns-a-blazin' attitude.

I agree about giving warnings when posting pic Bush the Lesser pictures. I was trying to say that I'll try to give a warning when posting pics of him. I won't make a habit of it here. There are plenty of other places to do that.

Sorry if it didn't come across like that.

Sometimes an idea sounds better in my head than out in public.

Also, I'm glad the BOG is here. I've hardly posted here but I read it all the time. It's good to have a place to read about the good President Obama does without the naysayers nitpicking every little thing.

And so once again I am reminded of Michelle Obama's words about her husband.

Here's the thing about my husband: even in the toughest moments, when it seems like all is lost, Barack Obama never loses sight of the end goal. He never lets himself get distracted by the chatter and the noise, even if it comes from some of his best supporters. He just keeps moving forward.

And in those moments when we're all sweating it, when we're worried that the bill won't pass or the negotiation will fall through, Barack always reminds me that we're playing a long game here. He reminds me that change is slow — it doesn't happen overnight.

He was stationed on a Pacific island in WWII. After the island was secured as a base, some nights they'd show outdoor movies. During one film a beautiful Hollywood starlet was in a love scene, and the enlisted men (who hadn't seen much in the way of women for months) were totally enraptured. Then one wise guy loudly remarked "And just think -- her shit stinks just like yours and mine."
