President Obama's in the White House and we are having a most glorious Indian Summer down this way. A good morning indeed!

Peace.

even though I'm a Polar Bear in more ways than one, to hear some tell it.

Today's our very last mild one for a long time. I do love winter, love it well. But one of my dogs will see her first snow (that I'm aware of; she was a rescue) on Tuesday, and she's slick as a billiard ball. When I toss her out and it's below 50 degrees, she's back in a flash, barking with outrage and demanding immediate entry if not sooner.

I'm not going to show her pictures of Bo or Sunny either for that matter. She might get jealous. Especially now.

Regardless of the weather, yes; it's always a beautiful day when Barack Obama is in the WH. I expect after his administration is complete, we can continue to bask in the afterglow for a long, long time. He's such a rare person. It absolutely turns my tickle box over to remember back when he burst upon the nation's consciousness and all those blinded Repubs started squawking that he was too inexperienced, weak, you name it. Are they singing a different tune now in their bumbling retreat? 'spect so.

If that's not the most beautiful mug in the world, I don't know whose is.

After wading through the muck of certain GD threads lately where anyone you disagree with throws fecal matter in response, I come in here and all of a sudden I feel ... cleansed and peaceful. Wonder why the difference, you suppose? Could clear air and calm voices have a pronounced effect on my innate scrappiness?

Well, a little snark in the humor helps a lot too.

Ah.... now I've completely lost the urge to go to the town dump and kick rats. It's ever so much nicer here, isn't it? You'll be a good influence on me yet.
