It's a good thing this time. It's why PBO requested the vote and at least a delay. It gives Israel an opening to voice concerns.

Normally I'm not Israel's biggest fan - or its biggest critic. I figure everybody over there has responsibility for the mess. But this time, with Syria so firmly on Russia and Iran's team, Israelis and the Palestinians both are in danger. Both short and long term if we don't get a handle on things.

My son came to visit this weekend. He's been more critical of Obama than I've been the last 5 years, but he looked at me and said: "Obama's got this! It's about innocent people. Genocide is happening there."
