Poll shows Joseph Kennedy III with massive lead for Rep. Barney Frank's seat

February 09, 2012

Kennedy Way Ahead for Congress
A new UMass Lowell/Herald poll shows Joseph Kennedy III (D) trounces Sean Bielat (R) in a general election trial heat by a 60% to 28% margin in a race for the seat being vacated by Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA).

"While the 31-year-old Kennedy has a commanding lead now, the race is far from over. The former Middlesex prosecutor has never run for office and has yet to make a single campaign appearance. He's expected to formally announce soon."

Let's get him a few years in the House, then a few years in the Senate and we have a good presidential candidate in 2024 (If Obama gets re-elected and a Dem wins after him) or in 2020 (God forbid after Obama a Republican gets in).

I'd heard of him, just because of the family, didn't know much about him, personally.

The ad hits a number of great points, focusing on a government that is fair for all Americans.

He looks like a potential strong Dem for the future.
