I can no longer make playlists on iTunes.

Months ago I made some playlists for iTunes it worked just fine. Now, I can no longer drag and drop to create one. I've read several posts about this problem on the Apple Support site and through Google searches, but nothing I've seen recommended will solve the problem. I had to go back to my old iBook running 10.4.11 with an older iTunes to make the playlists and burn some CDs for my sister. Currently using a 2010 MacBook with 10.6.7 and iTunes 9.2.1.
Anyone here have a clue what the problem is?

Running SL 10.6.8 with iTunes 10.5.3 on a 2007 iMac. Works fine here.
Best of luck with yours.
On edit: To create the playlist, you are clicking on the + button at the bottom of iTunes, correct?

so I closed all open apps, ran Clean My Mac, repaired permissions, and restarted the MacBook. Now it works. Have no clue what was causing the problem, but others have had the same issue before. Maybe I had one too many last night, but then everything worked fine on the ole iBook.

Drag and drop simply did not work last night for some strange reason. Weird stuff was happening with my MacBook last night, and I have no clue why. See my post above yours.
