Best movie service?

Hi Tech folks!

Perhaps this is a bit off topic here, but I figured this crew might have ideas. Which is the best movie service to watch on demand? My spouse uses netflix and the mail. Since I read books for entertainment, I never get in his cue. Movies are a spontaneous thing for me and need to be on demand in order for me to ever actually watch them.

Does amazon prime have good movies? They have free books and movies and free 2 day shipping so I was tempted. Any better ideas?

Thanks,
Melissa

You should see how much it would cost to add streaming (they call it Watch Instantly) to your plan (I think it's only $8). You can probably browse the Netflix site to see what they have for streaming movies (and TV). That might be the easiest option. Although there is usually a greater lag to when new movies become available on Netflix and the streaming selection isn't as extensive as other sites, however it doesn't cost much.

You might also want to check out Hulu+ to see if their movie selection interests you - I think you can try it free for a week to check it out.

One of my friends loves Vudu because they get new movies about as quick as is possible, but I think it is more of a rental per viewing price structure.

Most websites should let you browse their catalog to see if what they offer interests you enough to pay them for it. Ultimately you have to decide if what someone offers is right for your tastes (and budget).
