Where do I look to shut off remote access to my computer?

I just had a company remotely access my computer to fix a problem. Now, where do I go in my computer to make sure they can't re-access my system? Thanks.

I have Windows 7.

1. How did they remotely access your computer (and what OS are you using)?

2. In XP go to Control Panel, System, Remote tab and turn it off

In 7 Control Panel, System, Remote Access and turn it off

Hit Apply and you're done.

4. Remote Access box is unchecked.

Is there also a place in file sharing that I need to disconnect?

Right click "Computer."

Click "properties."

Select "remote settings" on the left.

Uncheck "Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer."
