Is it okay to change something in the Services.msc file?

I have Team Viewer and it was running all of the time. I was told to change it to manual in the services.msc file. Is there any reason to not do that?

I have elderly parents you have a computer and they don't live close enough for me to drive over every time they have a problem. Plus, I help my siblings and friends out when they have problems. I live rural so Team Viewer is really a time saver and gas saver for me.

I saw another website where someone said not to do that but to make your own file or some such thing. I don't know. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't screwing anything up.

5. Setting it to manual start is fine.

You just need to remember that you will need to manually start it before you can use it.
