Blasted V9 redirect virus.

That was loads of fun to remove from a machine a customer brought in this morning. Between it and the two dozen pieces of crapware that was downloaded and installed. Finally uninstalled everything and then the fun started. It still wanted to redirect in Firefox, Chrome and Exploder. Finally got FF and Chrome reset to default and stay there. IE was loads of fun.
Finally figured out how to dump it. Right click on Internet Explorer, go to Properties. Shortcut, Target and delete the 60+ character string the damn thing had added to the path.
Then it worked.

Many, many, bad words involved.

2. Right. All it takes is someone clicking on something to activate.

Which is what happened. All the security in the world doesn't do any good with the ID ten T error.
