Can someone tell me how I can detect which IE series is on my computer, or for that
matter, which OS I have, Vista, XP etc. I have been trying to download games from a game site I have used for 5 years and now all of a sudden I am being blocked with " **** contains a virus and was deleted". I am trying to figure that out, but 1st I have to figure out which IE I have and which OS I have. As you can tell, I am not terribly computer literate. Thanks for the help.

(37,457 posts)1. ok do this please
fire up IE
and...look at your menus. There should be one that says About. Click that one.
With your OS, click Control Panel, then click System.
