Who knows Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS)

Last edited Fri Mar 22, 2013, 09:13 AM - Edit history (1)

I signed on and love it. It does what it claims to do but I recognize one glitch. When I had to send my laptop to repairs, I had to delete the entire program because changing passwords on the ddns server did not make a difference. Perhaps my laptop was accessing the LAN settings, but when I went to look, even the password had been upgraded on its own.

Is this a flaw in the DDNS? What do I need to change on the server to render it useless to outside programs that were previously accessing the information?

I'm sure it is. I'll look it up in the notebook and fix. Baitball Blogger Mar 2013 #2
