Are refurbished printer toner for a Samsung printer okay...
I'm on Amazon trying to buy a new toner and they have refurbished ones or replacement ones for a third of the price of new ones.
Is it worth it or will the toner cart were out or smear. I never bought one before but I send all my old cart back to Samsung for recycling.
So, I wondering...

The actual likelihood of a refurbished cartridge damaging your printer is small. And while you might see smearing and lines a little earlier than with a brand newie, what do you expect for half price or less?
Just check the seller's reputation and take it from there.

(25,592 posts)What a disaster. I have pictures somewhere where a recycled cartridge up chucked it's entire contents into the top paper drawer of one of the printers.
We had to dismantle the entire printer and clean it out.
Uneven print. Fresh replacements lasting only a few days. Toner smudges on the paper. Not too good when on a letterhead.
One printer refused to even print anything with a recycled cartridge. It just wouldn't.
Needless to say we went back to new, as the recycled didn't really save us anything with the hassle they caused

(12,958 posts)About 20% of them had issues like you describe. Usually leaking toner. The rest of them worked fine.
It was enough of an issue that we went back to the new cartridges.
