My screen resolution changed when I unintentionally ran my hand across the
mouse. How do I get it back using the same process?
I know how to do it by going into Control Panel, I just want to know how I fugged it up.

Try holding CTRL down while using the mouse wheel. That zooms in and out.
I don't know a way of changing the resolution for the whole computer with the mouse gesture you described.
