I went to Computer Help and Support and made a test title and text, posted it, then hit edit and deleted everything I typed in the post.

Apparently it can be done without any editing. As can be seen from my copycat thread.

The thread was likely self-deleted, and it appears the new software does not yet know how to handle a self-deleted thread on the home page. So it displays a blank thread title and username and December 1969 as the timestamp, for reasons explained here:

Fortunately as these bugs come up, we can fix them so they don't occur again. The reason you're seeing stuff like that now is because this is still new software. As time goes by, we'll be able to smooth out all these little annoyances.
