How do I get rid of Mcafee? It is not even in my Revouninstaller to delete it.

I found a bunch of files with its name on it and when I tried to delete the files my computer would not let me

I run CCleaner and it is still there. I also found a bunch of AVG files but my computer would not le me let me take any of them off

I feel like it is malware.

You need the McAffee deletion tool on their website, otherwise the hooks stay in pretty deep. There are other deletion tools out there too but start there if Revo isn’t catching it. They have a targeting tool as well but it takes a little while to get the hang of it and you have to target each executable, and they’re littered in a bunch of hidden directories so… yeah.

The last time I tried to uninstall it from a Windows machine, Windows was damaged.

The best bet to remove anti-virus software is reinstalling the operating system from scratch. I call it the "nuke it from space" option. Nothing survives.
