Ipad videos I took won't play on PC

Hello all.

I'm a fairly new Ipad owner and just got back from a weekend getaway. I have some short videos I took and I've copied them over to my PC thru an Ipad to USB connection. However, they won't play in QT or Media Player on my PC but play fine on the Ipad. I uninstalled the players on the PC and then reinstalled newer versions and do hear some audio on some but nothing happens on the others. I'm using Windows 7, 64bit system.

What am I doing wrong? Is it not possible to transfer these to my PC and also, how do I empty my icloud? They are backed up there I guess and I got a message that says delete or pay for more storage as I've used half the free space.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

TIA.

IMO, download VLC for your PC. That app handles about anything. Eyeball_Kid Aug 2018 #1
I'll download that player and see if that helps. KewlKat Aug 2018 #2

It's possible that your videos are in files that are corrupted. But it's not likely if your iPad plays them.

I've Macs, but use VLC for everything video.

They don't seem corrupt since they play just fine on the Ipad.
