I have found that using Chrome as a browser solved a lot of my pc problems, but

When I link to DU via Chrome it doesn't know my username. The old IE DU remembers my username. I can't remember my password. When I go into Chrome to set up my password it sends a thingy to my cell phone. I get it and it wants me to type "yes". I can't type on the screen.
I miss the favorites capability. by the way.

You have two factor authentication turned on. You don't need to type yes on your phone just press it.

It also sounds like you turned off the ability for chrome to remember passwords. That you can turn back on in the advanced settings.

And lastly favorites are in chrome but they are called bookmarks you should be able to access them near the top right of your browser or by clicking on the three horizontal lines and choosing bookmarks.

If you have a Google account chrome is a no brainer. It is just a superior browser to IE.
