Anyone have any idea why, when I access Facebook, almost all the received posts are duplicated?

This is a pain in the neck. I view a post, scroll down a few, and the same post shows again. Don't even know what to call it but these duplicate listings are a pain in the pa-toot. I am not very active on Facebook, just family, a few friends and a few sites that I enjoy. No big list of things to see, I just don't want to see them twice at the same access time.

Thanks,
PR

Notice the short script above the post indicating why, such as so-and-so just commented on this. Coyotl Sep 2016 #1
I'm not sure this is the same thing. Paper Roses Sep 2016 #2

The new change I hate is ads in the newsfeed. I hide every one of them and hide all ads from whoever it is. Now, Fb hardfly ever tries to get an ad past me. It works to hide them all.

For example: Two of the Facebook pages on which I am a member.
Rick Steves
Cats of the Internet.

A new listing may appear, then an hour or so later, the same thing shows up again. This is not a reply, it is the same initial post.

Every one of the sites to which I subscribe do the same darn thing. Nothing to do w/replies.

If I subscribed to the DU Facebook site, the initial post would appear, then later, the same thing again.

Maybe it's because you don't have a lot of contacts/groups and FB does need to fill up your page so you get repeats. I know that some small groups I belong to show older posts at the top, even though no new replies are there, and then new ones are farther down the page. It's not supposed to work that way, but it does.

Another issue could be how you scroll down. If I use the slidey arrow on the side I am always getting jumped back up to the top of the list. I don't have that problem if I use the down arrow on my keyboard.

Hope this helps.
