Facebook Marketing for a Blog Devoted to Exposing Fraud?

I would love suggestions on how to best promote on Facebook a blog I started on blogspot. It started out tracking and compiling a series of articles by our local newspaper, based on open records requests of my local suburban government. Unfortunately that reporter quit and I am now writing some orignial stories.

Our aldermen and mayor seem to be wedded to the City Administrator who has been here for decades, but has done things like "mistakenly" taken a car plus car allowance, profited from excess vacation buybacks, etc.

There are elections coming up and I want to influence people but without specifically supporting anyone. So this isn't really a political group.

I don't really want to start a group because i don't want people to join and start posting. I just want my blog to be highlighted and then maybe I can buy ads on Facebook. In the meantime I am posting pages of my blog into some of the regular community groups. I just think there is a wider group to be reached if I can get people to "like" some sort of Facebook page.

I just don't know what to start--it isn't a business or specifically political.

Here is the blog if you are interested in seeing what I mean. I just want to put links up on some Facebook page of all my posts to my blog and get people to like the Facebook page and spread it around and maybe buy some ads. Any suggestions?

It's been a while, but I think a FB page (for a business, organization, etc) has the option for no posting except by the page owner. When I did have pages, I could post as a page. So if you name your page "Shining a Light on Germantown," you could post in FB places where it would get the most exposure to your desired audience.

Of course, FB may have changed available page options by now, but it's worth a shot.
