huge update for my shitty dial up - what is it and do I need it?

Synaptics - Input - Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad

Download size: 45.8 MB

Synaptics Input software update released in October, 2011

something for the touchpad I never use? I suppose it might load over night but do I need to bother?

Sounds like an update for your mouse/touchpad/input device.

But if your mouse works now I'd say screw it.

I was well into my 30's before my first computer! At the time we still had a party line connection (although there were no other parties on it - but that was my very first "computer" problem - couldn't connect to the tubes!)
