Tried to Google answer. Confusing. Can you help?
I recently posted about a problem with my new(refurbished) computer. Thanks for the advice given. Everything is working fine now but there are a couple of quirks. The computer now has 2 hard drives per the job of my former guru. Nothing I can do about that.
Don't really know why this was done but since things are OK, no problem.
My question. Why, when I open Firefox and go to one site or another, does the darn thing keep opening multiple tabs? I have a laptop with Firefox and this does not happen on that machine.
The new desktop is my problem. I tried to see if there was something to 'un-check' but can't find anything. Several results of my 'Google' told me to do things with which I am not comfortable. You know I'm a computer idiot.
There must be a simple way to prevent Firefox from opening multiple blank tabs. Anyone know a simple way to stop this from happening. As am experiment, I just opened Firefox and bounced from one site to another by way of Favorites(bookmarks) and then Xed out. It just asked me if I was sure wanted to close 6 tabs or if I want to continue. Phooey. Just let me close the thing! I don't need these blank tabs.
Windows 7. Firefox and IE as browsers.

If you want to delete your home page customizations, this is how to do it:
Click the menu button (looks like three -) and choose Options.
Select the General panel.
In the Startup box under Home Page: click Restore to Default.
Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
