Stream the web on TV

I know there are a bunch of devices now, roku comes to mind where you can stream youtube and netflix and hulu etc on your TV, But I'm not sure which would be best for me. Is there anything yet that allows you to stream the entire internet to your TV screen?

Anybody use anything like this? Recommendations?

1. You may be able to use your PC.

HDMI or VGA output from your computer into corresponding input on your TV. If you use VGA connection you will also have to use an audio cable from your PC to the TV.

6. Thats what I did via HDMI with a PC

plus a Roku and a Mag 254, no cable bill and watch anything I could with cable,plus about 1000 channels.

If you do hook a PC to your TV,check out KODI and Plex.

2. There are devices like roku but which run android or linux

There's one about $50 with hardware hevc x265 decoding, don't have a link handy, think it's on Amazon. That's a new compression standard, most devices don't support it.

There's also an android stick which has both wired and wifi lan.

Raspberry Pi would also do what you want.

4. I bought one last month. Worth it! Got tired of Satellite prices keep going up

and all the commercials! It seems like every other commercial was Dish-or-Direct+at&t.

This is an android box. Small but loaded with movies... or anything you want to watch

But you can download install KODI on your computer and hook it up to TV, works the same. I did and I stream movies in the office when Tronsmart box is being used in the family room.

3. I connect to my TV as a dual monitor.

The settings and connections will differ depending on your operating system and hardware, but if you google "dual monitor" along with your OS, you should find instructions to get it working.
