Wierd uninstall problem

A few days ago, I installed MS Front Page 2000 on my office computer to see if Win 7 would run it. It installed successfully. I then went to uninstall it and I was denied permission as it claimed I didn't have administrator level permission. I check the security tab in properties and changed all system users to complete control so I could uninstall it. Still got the error message...so basically, I'm looking at an installed MS application that MS won't let me uninstall...and it's in a "end of life" mode which my PSI software is saying is unsecured.

What to do? I remember Ccleaner has an "uninstall" utility, so I try that and....program uninstalls without a problem. So, if anyone else runs into a problem with the MS uninstaller utility, try Ccleaner's utility in their "Tools" section.

I was logged on as an administrator. It kept telling me I need to be an administrator to install it. There are no 'users' on this computer, only one log-on besides the default Administrator and that is also an Administrator.

Anyone have any idea on how to get around this BS of needing to be an Administrator when you already are one?

Admin access isn't really true admin access. Try that, and then restart or switch user. Go click on the Administrator icon instead of your normal one. Then go in and uninstall it. You should have no problems.

Just be sure to create a password while you're in there. That admin access has the keys to the kingdom.

Hit me up if you have questions. : )

Don't need to use this now, but this is could be a big help in the future...I've run into administration privilage issues in the past, so this looks like a great solution.
