Does anyone know how to get Firefox to size every site to the window size?

I noticed when I upgraded to what I think is the most recent Firefox browser (37.0.2) some websites fit the browser window but others are waaaaaay too wide. On one particular site the site is twice as wide as my browser window, and I'm not getting a scrowlbar to go up and down though I can still scrowl side to side. Sometimes I have the same problem with my yahoo email as well.

I want every site to fit in my browser window though so I don't have to waste so much time doing all this side to side scrowling. Anyone know how to do that? This has been driving me bonkers!

Just a guess, but maybe Firefox is zoomed in? arcane1 Jun 2015 #1
Hold down the Control key and the minus key at the top of the keyboard to resize the window to fit. TexasTowelie Jun 2015 #2
Second option: TexasTowelie Jun 2015 #3
will this work for every page on the site? TorchTheWitch Jun 2015 #4
I believe that both options I provided will work with whatever Web sites that you visit TexasTowelie Jun 2015 #5

To enlarge, hold down the Control key and the equal key at the same time.

Click the three vertical bars at the top of the browser window. Directly underneath it will indicate the percentage that the display is set. Ciick the minus sign to shrink the browser window to a lower percentage.

This one particular site is just so ridiculously wide shrinking it as you suggested still doesn't make it fit the screen, and the writing is so tiny it's not easy to read.

I never had this issue before until I upgraded Firefox to the newer version.

Most sites like DU fit the screen window just fine, but this site is just the WORST with how crazy wide it is. I also have to go through soooo many pages on the site and back and forth between pages constantly, so even though I still can't get the width to fit the window size without making everything so small I can't read it, and I'm still losing up and down scrowl bars on some pages.

No one else using the site seems to have this problem but me either. I don't even have any other browswer other than Firefox to check how that one yields this site in the window screen.

It looks like it's changed on just the one site since the other sites that fit the window look the same as before. So far everything seems to fit well enough that I'm not getting the side to side scrowl bar anymore, but the writing on the site is still smaller than I'd like it. Oh well, I guess this one site just made their pages ridiculously wide compared to others.

Thanks for the info though! I would never have figured that out on my own.
