Need advice on whether I can sell a photo editing program that I purchased...
I purchased the educator version of Adobe Lightroom 5. I have opened the box but never installed the software. The "educator" part is legal; I am employed by an educational institution.
I submitted the appropriate documents and got the password (or key) to activate the program, so I guess it's registered to me. After some thought and further study I've decided to go with a less complex program that will fit my needs just as well at this point.
I'm wondering what complications might arise if I offered to sell it to someone who isn't an educator, or if I can sell it at all. It cost me $85.00 and I suppose I could just eat the cost and move on (we all make mistakes) but I'd like to recoup at least part of what I paid.
In addition, if anyone buys it would they be prohibited from registering it to themselves? I suppose I could call Adobe, but I expect they'd give me all sorts of grief about it.
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
