Password Problems for me?

3 days ago, I had occasion to call Comcast several times because I could not sign into my email account. The message kept telling me that user name and password were not right.
3 times, Comcast asked me to enter my prior password and then assigned me a new one with note that I should change my password to something I choose.
OK, did so, but my question is:

Since all this was done on my PC, do these changes transfer to my Laptop and my new iPod? (still trying to learn that)

I have a funny feeling that I'm going to mess this up.
I have no idea why Comcast did lot like me any more and have no idea what what stage--if any, the new passwords might be carried over to the laptop and new iPod, if at all.
If the new passwords to not register w/laptop or iPod, do I go back to the one I used to use and change from there to a new one? PC first?

Good grief, I hate this.
Wish there was a way to log in, user name and select a new-all the same password-for all of them without worrying about that is where and how many phone calls I will have to make to the folks at Comcast. Two of the people I spoke to could not have cared less..
Any ideas?

So you should use the newest working password you have, no matter which computer you use to log into a site.
