Please DO NOT help me with this unless you know you can go somewhere unsafe on

The internet and get back okay without infecting your computer.

I watch my computer spin out every two hours or so.
It always ends up dumping me on the following site:

s.dessaly.com

And usually there are many letters and numbers in the URL, after the Dot com portion of it.

Then it seems like my typing slows up.

How to I get rid of it? My computer is checked each day by webroot, and I am told by webroot that I have not had a threat since June.

You may want to check your DNS settings and make sure you are pointed towards your ISP's DNS and not something weird.

Go to control panel and choose "uninstall a program." When the list appears, sort by install date and see if you see anything recent that you didn't install.

Does this only happen when using a browser, or does it happen at different times?

And it seems all my problems started when I put "shareaholic" on my computer.

It doesn't come with an "uninstall" - so how do I remove it? (It did put an iconn on my toolbar, though)

Oh and a big thank you.

Control Panel > Programs (and something or other) > shareaholic - then click on uninstall above the list, or just double clicking works too I think.

I don't think there are any "holics" that are good for us.

...removing this and other PUP's is easy as 1,2,3...

1) Remove malicious adware from your computer with AdwCleaner. AdwCleaner is a program that searches for and deletes Adware, Toolbars, Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP), and browser Hijackers from your computer. By using AdwCleaner you can easily remove many of these types of programs for a better user experience on your computer and while browsing the web.

The types of programs that AdwCleaner targets are typically bundled with free programs that you download from the web. In many cases when you download and install a program, the install will state that these programs will be installed along with the program you downloaded. Unless you perform a Custom install, these unwanted programs will automatically be installed on your computer leaving you with extra browser toolbars, adware, and other unwanted programs. AdwCleaner is designed to search for and remove these types of programs.

2) Remove the malicious registry keys added by malware with RogueKiller. When you run RogueKiller, you can perform a scan of your computer for malicious programs and entries. Once the scan is complete it will display a list of found issues and allow you to fix them. RogueKiller also contains individual fixes that include repairing missing shortcuts due to the FakeHDD program, fixing your HOSTS file, and fixing Proxy server hijackers.
