Another fun Windows Update glitch.
My friend calls in a panic. She turned on her computer at work and it said that it was finishing installing updates-no problem, happens all the time.
She gets to her desktop and her medical billing software can't find her documents. then it says printer not found.
Told her to reboot and see what happens-no change
Unplug and plug printer back in-nada
Finally told her to do a System Restore-evidently it had lost all previous restore points except the one that was screwed up.
Had to drive across town and see what the problem was.
Ended up completely removing and reinstalling printer-got it working
Somehow the billing software had the path changed from where the documents were to some nonexistent folder.
Set Automatic Updates to notify but don't download.
