(9,314 posts)1. Not that I know of.
It has to be converted from a publisher file.
You can find all of the info and links to convert the file here: http://desktoppub.about.com/cs/publisher/f/share_pubfiles.htm

(8,543 posts)2. If you don't have an MS Office version with Publisher, your options are limited.
- Have your Grandson convert the file to a more usable format (e.g. PDF) and sent that to you. (Why on earth is he using the Publisher file format to share files in the first place?)
- Get one free trial month of Office 365 Home Premium to view it in Publisher and then cancel Office 365 within the month.
- Use an online conversion site (e.g. www.zamzar.com ) to save the file in a format that you can use.
My vote is for the first option - mostly to let him know that many people won't be able to view MicroSoft Publisher files.
