Are the R's shitting us?

Does anyone think that the R meme I keep hearing in Ohio: "The R's will turn out big on Nov. 6, offsetting any D early voting advantage"
could be a smoke screen/cover story? It could obscure the possible hi-jacking of the tabulators, by remote hacking or last-minute "bug fixes"
installed by the R-owned election systems techs, or contract hires which all BoE's use to deal with the electronics. Or corrupted software
which deletes a certain pattern of votes. Could be classic Rovian mis-direction, or whatever the Rove-Koch Evil Empire concocts. It's a
serious concern of mine, especially in light of what went down in 2004. Am I being paranoid? Based on history, I think not!
Any opinions out there? Thanks...

It's also on my mind. But whatever the end, I doubt we could know unequivocally what goes down unless there are people watching from the inside and an investigation of huge proportions. What we need is turnout that can't be easily manipulated.

Duh, yes. Do the math!

Governor Romney tells the nation over and over again that there are 23 million out of a job, and no one seems to have done the math to refute him. There are only about 200 million Americans between the ages of 16 and 65, and the official unemployment rate stands at 7.8%. Since the 200 million includes many who are still full time students or others not seeking a job for a variety of reasons, the real number is lower. The official statistics released yesterday show 12.3 million unemployed, which would indicate that there are about 158 million who are considered to be looking for work.

If 7.8% is equal to 23 million, my friends, there should be nearly 300 million adults between 16 and 65. Where are they? Four years ago, Obama projected that his policies and actions would bring the unemployment rate down to 5.4%. Of course, this has not come to pass, but Romney says that the 2.4% equals a shortfall of 9 million people out of work. Pay attention, if 2.4% equals 9 million, the total number of people or working age should have been 375 million. Such is the power of a simple Governor that he has single-handedly doubled the population of the United States in the course of a few months. His nose is probably growing faster than that!

This, of course is not surprising from the man who plans to make tax cuts of $5 trillion and fund it by taking away the tax deductions enjoyed by high income Americans, and still have another $2 trillion to spend on the military, all the while keeping the deficit from getting worse. The conflicts and engagements in Iraq and Afghanistan have been costing over $1 trillion a year. Since the forces are being withdrawn completely from those actions, Obama is proposing to reduce military expenditures by about that amount. But Mr. Romney claims that this would devastate the military!
