2018 OH Governors Race- What is the likelihood of Richard Cordray entering the race?

If Cordray enters the 2018 OH Governors Race, Wins in the Democratic Primary and the November General Election, and Brown wins re-election to the US Senate in 2018. Would this increase the likelihood of Sherrod Brown being on the 2020 Democratic Presidential/Vice Presidential Ticket? If a Democrat occupies the OH Governorship during and after the 2020 Election, Sherrod Brown's successor will be a Democrat-Betty Sutton- succeeded Brown in the US House in 2006.

What about the Vice Presidency? Would Brown be interested in that position if he was selected? nkpolitics1212 Nov 2017 #2
I don't think so.....After all, being VP means you're willing to be the President. CaliforniaPeggy Nov 2017 #3

So I don't think this scenario will play out the way you're thinking it might.

I'd love to see Cordray in as Governor!

Brown is a progressive Democrat from OH- a battleground state which Trump carried in 2016 by a 8 percent margin. Brown would be a perfect VP runningmate to whoever is the 2018 Democratic Presidential Nominee?

I agree that he would be perfect, but neither he nor his wife want him to go that route.

Several of the Dem candidates have been saying they'll drop out if Cordray jumps in. He's the only dem with enough statewide recognition to have a good shot at the statehouse. IMHO.
