If Cordray enters the 2018 OH Governors Race, Wins in the Democratic Primary and the November General Election, and Brown wins re-election to the US Senate in 2018. Would this increase the likelihood of Sherrod Brown being on the 2020 Democratic Presidential/Vice Presidential Ticket? If a Democrat occupies the OH Governorship during and after the 2020 Election, Sherrod Brown's successor will be a Democrat-Betty Sutton- succeeded Brown in the US House in 2006.

I'd love to see Cordray in as Governor!

(8,617 posts)Brown is a progressive Democrat from OH- a battleground state which Trump carried in 2016 by a 8 percent margin. Brown would be a perfect VP runningmate to whoever is the 2018 Democratic Presidential Nominee?

(149,716 posts)I agree that he would be perfect, but neither he nor his wife want him to go that route.
