in 2014, from what i can work out, 47 US Police officers were killed as a result of people trying to harm them.

in the UK, since 1900, around 70 police officers have been killed as a result of people trying to harm them - excluding terrorism in NI.

by all means have a crack at the 'professionalism' of US police, but to just put up a single statistic and claim 'this tells the story, period' is not just crass, its incredibly ignorant.
