Battersea Power Station's iconic towers must be demolished within two years to prevent £8billion luxury flat redevelopment being put at risk

Battersea Power Station's iconic chimneys must be demolished and rebuilt within two years because they are putting an £8billion flat redevelopment at risk, according to English Heritage.

It is believed that the 103-metre chimneys will crumble and decay causing a danger to the public and a huge risk to the redevelopment of the site, say the developers and English Heritage.

Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC) now plan to knock down and rebuild each of the four stacks
