Crews battle 2nd-worst wildfire season in B.C. history

2017 fire season to date (July 31, 2017) is third-largest (in terms of acres burned) since 1950 and is the worst in 56 years.

He was forced to evacuate twice last summer and has been on standby for evacuation for several weeks this summer. He's in a very rural location, surrounded by towering trees.

We too wonder if this is "the new norm" and we worry about him.
