Alberta: body found is missing two-year-old

The southern Alberta community of Crowsnest Pass is mourning the death of a toddler this morning, in what started as an Amber Alert and then evolved into a double murder case.

The body of two-year-old Hailey Dunbar-Blanchette was discovered late Tuesday in a rural area near her hometown of Blairmore.

I really thought she would be found and brought back to her mother. My heart breaks for her loved ones. I am glad they have someone they believe murdered her and her dad, charges coming soon.

Her mother and family are completely destroyed. Much strength to them.

3. Horrific

He's also been charged with indignity to a body. Sick f*ck.

When the suspect was arrested and the vehicle found but not Hailey, it didn't look good. We all wish it had been a better outcome.

I read a Toronto Star article yesterday, and it has since been updated and the paragraph removed. It noted Terry Blanchette's prior criminal record, and how his FB posts changed from his court dates to his daughter, how she turned his life around. One post of his mentioned he didn't want his daughter near "the drug addicted pedofiles (sic)". A chilling post.

I can't imagine what the families are going through right now.

4. I heard last night just before I went to bed

and didn't sleep much, its too heartbreaking. She just reminded me so much of my daughter when she was that age. I was so hoping she would be found safe and sound.
