Extreme Cold Warning for Southern Ontario

Active for next 9 hours

Bitterly cold arctic air has once again returned to Southern Ontario. Strong and gusty northwest winds will combine with the frigid temperatures to produce extremely cold wind chill values of minus 30 to minus 35 tonight through Friday morning.

People outdoors should exercise caution and dress appropriately as frostbite on exposed skin is possible in as little as 10 minutes.

Wind chills will slowly improve by Friday afternoon as temperatures slowly rise.

I should be used to this by now - I'm born and raised CANADIAN, after all.
But man oh man, it's friggin' cold. Take care all!

After work today I took the bus downtown. I felt like my hands (which had woolen mitts on them) were almost frost-bitten just from walking across the street. Like, for just two minutes or so....I was outside and exposed.

Coldest temps I've ever experienced were when I lived out there. This feels awfully close. Hoping it ends very soon.

I've logged a ton of overtime working outside day in and day out for the last 4+ weeks! What a grind!
