Input sought in effort to review Wyoming math standards

The Wyoming Department of Education has put out a call to residents as it looks to build a committee that will review the state's math standards.

Parents, teachers, school board members and others are all invited to apply to join the review committee. Those interested in being involved must take the https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeRNBZxvVart8lTMHY4wyS2RBhxGWb0xE3dXBBXkarll1hLuA/viewform?usp=send_form" target="_blank">Call for Participants Survey, which is available until 11:59 p.m. on April 11, according to a department news release.

The committee will meet for at least two days between June and August, the department said, though it may meet more in 2018.

The standards indicate what "students should know and be able to do at the end of each grade level and by the time they graduate," according to the press release. State Superintendent Jillian Balow said in an interview in January that Wyoming has an adopted form of the Common Core standards for its current math benchmarks.
