Former Wyoming police officer arrested in cold case homicide
Police in Laramie say a former policeman has been arrested in connection with the 1985 slaying of a University of Wyoming student.
Fredrick J. Lamb of Laramie was arrested Wednesday and jailed on charges of first-degree murder and arson.
Laramie police say Lamb, 67, was arrested in connection with the 1985 slaying of 22-year-old Shelli R. Wiley.
Lt. Gwen Smith of the Laramie Police Department says unspecified new technology led to Lamb's arrest.
