What was she not thinking? Inept at the least. I hope her entire campaign is not this poor.

8. You can buy domain names through lots of companies like Go Daddy, Google and others.

Even local Internet service providers will offer that service.

Plus, for a fee nearly all of them will disguise who actually owns the domain so you cannot discover that info through a whois search - they call it privacy protection but we all know what that gets used for.

They could have spend a few hundred dollars and locked up all relevant domains to prevent this type of thing from happening.

Now anytime someone searches mary burke on google they'll make sure the this is the first one on the list.

Which one do you think most people will click on? ..... Right.

So people who are interested are going to be exposed to the crap right off the bat.

Not smart of whoever is advising her.

Even the bad ones like www.burkesucks.com.

How does a successful businessperson not know this? On the other hand, if she is the hand-picked "party" candidate of rumors, then where were the leaders in Madison? They should have done this for her or told her to do it herself before she floated one trial balloon.

Big first-step fail.
