So where can I find the clearest, most concise

Last edited Thu Feb 9, 2012, 03:59 PM - Edit history (1)

list of bullet points, or the best short written article, on exactly why
Scott Walker deserves to be recalled?

If you had to introduce the concept to a person newly arrived from
UzBeckyBeckyBeckyStanStan, or someone who doesn't normally
pay much attention to politics or the news?

“In this time of economic distress you have chosen to abandon the working poor
and the middle class in favor of the privileged few. At the behest of corporations and
sinister plutocrats you have chosen to suppress democracy. You have chosen to
make it harder to vote, to make it harder to earn a decent wage, to make it harder
to obtain decent health care, to make it harder for citizens to express their First
Amendment rights, to make it harder to give our children a decent education and
a decent future. You have made your choices abundantly clear. Now we, the working people of
Wisconsin, are making our choice.”

Or more accurately, that's how I think *and* feel about all those points raised.

Which is why I was trying to step outside and away from the sense of betrayal, of
an obligation to work for the public good turned in to an opportunity for a chosen
few to enrich themselves -- at the public's expense. That sense of utter, rank
self-interest posturing as "good government" and "promises kept."

But that's jumping ahead to the last act of the play.

I was looking for the stepping stones, a trail of bread crumbs or
bullet points that someone less personally involved could follow.

It's a pretty good basic overview of the Walker outrages in simple list format. It's a little old though, and could use some updating. For example it highlights the October job losses. If it had been written more recently I'm sure it would have included the fact that WI is now #1 in job losses and has continued to defy the national job growth trend by losing jobs every single month that Walker's budget has been in effect.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that the Milwaukee County D.A.'s investigation
turns up evidence they can use to actually prosecute. That might expand
the list to more than 10.
