INDIANAPOLIS -- Pardon the Ohio State football coaches and players if they threw rocks through their television screens last night.
The full impact of OSU's bowl ban because of NCAA sanctions must have hit the undefeated Buckeyes as Wisconsin destroyed hapless Nebraska 70-31 in the Big Ten championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium.
In a mismatch between two teams No. 4 Ohio State defeated this year, Wisconsin became the first team ever to be awarded a Rose Bowl berth with five losses after earning the Big Ten's automatic berth in that 110-year-old game.
The unranked Badgers (8-5) will play Pac-12 champion Stanford (11-2) on Jan. 1 in Pasadena, Calif. after winning their 14th Big Ten title -- and third in a row -- by avenging a regular-season loss to favored Nebraska.
"To have three Big Ten championships, that says it all," said Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema. "This one is very, very special."

My son's boss is an Ohio State alumnus and a Libertarian...He said he'd vote for Obama if he would get the NCAA to overturn the current ban. We howled with laughter....
