(2,354 posts)...First the WTMJ web page defines the question as, 'how to control' out-of-control protestors
Then it's one softball question after another, starting with D. Erwin being allowed to define the
issue as 'the other side, the protestors' can't or won't share the building peacefully. Screaming
protestors were scaring 5 year-olds. Screaming/singing -- what's the difference? We're just
asking them to comply, to cooperate. The "permit process is free," so why won't these people
....behave? "They tell me they're peaceful, but they don't ...want to follow the process. And the
consequence of not following the process is ...a $200 fine.
.....Most people support what we're doing. People support us. We support free speech. This
issue isn't about free speech. It's about everyone following the same permit process...."
Smooth mouthful of the rawest sewage, but with that nasty and sharp "look who's boss" edge to it. Like the "Clarence Beeks" character from Trading Places. The detective who ends up sharing a train berth with the smitten simian. (Also the principal in Breakfast Club.)

Quite a few of Chief Erwin's 'terrorists' take a moment to describe themselves, and some of
their reasons for participating in the Capitol protests:

Is the flimsy legal ground fear for one's safety?
