"Madison School Board to negotiate contract with union" !!!

This is great news!

The Madison School Board agreed Monday night to enter collective bargaining negotiations immediately with its employee unions.

The move was made possible by Dane County Circuit Judge Juan Colas' recent ruling that key parts of Gov. Scott Walker's collective bargaining law are unconstitutional.

The School Board is following in the footsteps of Dane County and the city of Madison in trying to quickly approve new contracts that would take effect after current contracts expire. . .

The School Board met in closed session to discuss the request MTI made last week to enter collective bargaining negotiations. They announced their decision in a short statement at the beginning of the regularly scheduled board meeting, which was attended by more than 300 people.
