Wisconsin: 30 years is enough - Calling for the resignation of (GAB Director) Kevin Kennedy

http://myplayfulself.com/wordpress/archives/12870

Kennedy has created a culture of suspicion and defensiveness among the county clerks throughout the state, and rather than ushering in the sunlight of transparency, he has positioned himself and the GAB as the leader of the promulgation of rules and postures designed to block the democratic process on the county and municipal level. Kennedy is seen as the defensive team captain to call on to create plays to block requests for open records information and examination. His leadership has instilled a fear into the hearts minds of local elected officials that the process of elections in the state are to go unquestioned, and if questioned they are to go unanswered.

The call for Kevin Kennedy to resign is not based solely on his impassive and incompetent response to turmoil raised in the Supreme Court election or the recalls of the past year and a half, but on his nature to shuffle, obfuscate, and delay any proceeding or investigation that does not fit his “do it my way” administrative fault of three decades! The early warning message of this fault was first sounded in 2007, well before the GAB was created and Kennedy was in the earliest stages of creating his dynasty of derision that began 29 years ago on August 17 1983, during the term of Dem Governor, Tony Earl.

...

Kennedy was an early proponent of privatization, and of all the possible pit falls of that pursuit, he sought privatization of our elections, placing the most golden right of the people into the hands of private corporations like Command Central. Your vote was privatized by low profile entities that have no oversight by any elected official or government agency – local, state, or federal. Voting machines contracted for by Kevin Kennedy are computers that count votes. Computers function through programing. The programing that counts your vote is considered proprietary; a trade secret.

Kennedy’s privatization of the vote count was enabled by contracts with voting machine vendors like Command Central, that give the corporation the power of the purse over the decision making of elected officials like your local county clerk.

There's more at the link. Kennedy really needs to go. If you don't recall, Accenture used to be called Arthur Andersen. Yes, the Arthur Andersen of Enron fame. Caught in a scandal? Just change your name, then move your company HQ to Bermuda to avoid paying taxes. Very patriotic. And this is the firm Kennedy chose to run part of our elections.

Note that in 2007 the state Elections Board announced December 26, 2007 the State's deal with Accenture was terminated.

1. How practical is this? The governor appoints from a list of nominees made by appellate judges

and then the appointment must be confirmed by the senate.

In our purple state there exists both a lot of room for political shenanigans in the appointment process and general anxiety among the people that however the appointment is made political shenanigans -will- be important in the process.

I'm not advocating that Wisconsin enter a state of paralysis regarding fixing concerns about BBV, but I'm sort of doubtful that in our circumstance and with the current crony-loving Governor a better person who is more widely trusted would actually emerge.

2. Yours are good points. The nominating judges are one key..

... and of course knowing that Kennedy is a snake is another key.

A public vetting of candidates would be a healthy thing, I suspect.

They wanted to take away the peoples ability to vote for high court judges too... that is, change the law for the legislator to pick a few that the governor would choose from...

Also, someone found documents that re-appointed Prosser for another term before the elections results... was the rigging of the voting machines their crystal ball?

So, don't believe everything you read either... someone else may of thought it up... likewise, don't believe everything you hear such as Scott Walker Won the Recall... Out of state money and voting machines may of rigged the count and tallied in his favor to match the bogus poll they kept reiterating of him having a 6 point lead... percentage wise that is...

That is, since machines can be rigged to flip votes on both touch screen machines and optic scanners during "pre-LAT" with a PROM memory card (the first card) used to install vote rigging virus... the second card that id put in to record results that may of been tested at the time of the election would not of removed the virus on the machine installed by the first "pre-LAT prom card" which probably went back into the possession of the two party strip mall in Minnesota... and, if it was instructed to eat itself after the election, the proof of it having been there has vanished... this possibility was proven on the "hacking democracy" documentary by Bev Harris by two computer hackers and demonstrated...

About the only way to safe guard against this is to have the voting machine print a receipt for each voter stating his or her votes which they in turn would hand a pool worker to drop into a hand count backup ballot box to hand count and keep it in a vault so that after the memory card was read to tally the votes at command central, the total from that district could be verified by hand counting the receipts of the voters which the voter would of checked for accuracy prior to dropping into the ballot box for hand count verification...and, on touch screens they can also be rigged to make the paper tape flip votes also so that if the paper tape were to be compared to the rigged tally total reported by the machine, there would be no way to prove otherwise...

Click here to see why we cannot trust command central without such a hand count verification process that I have just described in the above as the only way to verify...

4. I agree. Open code should be a standard for election equipment.

I doubt the WI legislature would pass such a requirement.
