http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/05/19/1093010/-Standing-With-Walker...If you stand with Walker, then you stand for the pollution of Wisconsin's beautiful fields, streams and sky. If you stand with Walker then you stand for robbing your fellow citizens to enrich wealthy corporate overlords. If you stand with Walker then you support taking quality healthcare and a chance for a decent public education away from the children of this state. If you stand with walker then you support the notion that government control is better for a uterus than the decisions of women and their physicians. If you stand with Governor Walker then you oppose transparency in government and you support the undermining of our state constitution. If you stand with Walker you believe you should bargain alone with you employer and that unions take the money of hard working people and never give them anything in return. If you stand with Walker you believe you have a right to do more work for less money. If you stand with Walker you stand in favor of corruption, cronyism, and influence peddling. If you stand with Walker then you stand for cheating, lying, and bullshitting. If you stand with Walker then you support killing people for being on your front porch...

(12,336 posts)and other outdoor activities anywhere. Even though I am not a native of that great state, I spend a lot of time up there and want walker out. So I have done some phone banking and sent a few dollars to the Wisconsin Dems. I would suggest that others do the same. He really needs to go so the outdoor activities can continue for many generations to come.

(8,522 posts)It means a great deal that you took money out of your own pocket and time out of your schedule to help us.
After this whole recall fiasco, I will be looking at visitors from other states with a new appreciation.

Most are basically trapped with deadend low paying jobs,no hope of upward movement out off the crapper, town and county governments run by the main street Merchant thieves, area hasn't had any real representation in Madison since the late 40's and early 50's,this will be the region to watch.

(36,063 posts)The recall election is going to turn on turn-out, all over the state, because thats what's going to be required to get a different result than the last Walker-Barrett match up.
It's not all dyed in the wool republicans in NW Wisconsin.
In 2008 only 3 NW counties went for McCain:
Polk, 49.8% vs 48.03 %
St. Croix 50.9% vs 47.2%
Taylor 49.07% vs 48.8%
Those numbers don't look like NW WI is a strongly republican bastion, they actually look a lot like of the state of the recall....closely divided.

(22,340 posts)The Fox Valley and surrounding area is notoriously purple. The northwest is generally blue. If the Fox Valley can get the vote out, that will be key.

(18,129 posts)In Appleton, I have been seeing many walker signs and bumper stickers and only rarely do I see anything for Barrett and/or recall. Of course, maybe there are Barrett supporters who are afraid of getting their car keyed or a rock through their living room window. (I'm not joking)

(22,340 posts)I see a good number of both signs in town. I don't think the Fox Valley needs to go overwhelmingly for Barrett but Walker can't kick ass here.
