Well, if this doesn't get your dander up and make you enlist for a recall campaign phone bank or knock and drop, it's hard to imagine what might.
Here's the City of Wauwatosa (that's Scott Walker's home base) sample ballot for the Democratic Party gubernatorial primary. Of course, with multiple candidates there must be an order of listing, The ballot order for Wisconsin elections is based on randomized selection.
Absent evidence that someone has gamed the system, this ballot's order is, if you're Republican, just plain dumb luck (this is a PDF image, so youll need to click on the URL below:

Okay, so someone has to be listed first in the Democratic column. But must it be the Republican?! And must the top two Democratic candidates with most name recognition be buried at bottom? Is that how it is, bunky?
Someone might snort and say this is unimportant, but in fact lead ballot position is, according to more than one study, worth extra votes. Salant and Meredith studied the matter and wrote, "In one out of ten elections, the candidate listed first won just because he was listed first."
