and name calling .... or they won't. I kinda think Bernie calling himself a democratic socialist (gasp, horrors) in a way gave him some immunity - he didnt have to waste his breath trying to deny being a socialist but could instead use the platform to educate people what exactly it meant. Defending the new deal passionately and in no uncertain terms ought to be a no-brainer for the Dem party but to date, only few incl Mr. Sanders has really done that effectively.
